"A reader wants to know if any other county in Texas, maybe the whole USA, can boast of three quarterbacks starting at NCAA Division 1 universities as Taylor County has with Case Keenum (Wylie) at the University of Houston, Taylor Potts (Abilene High) at Texas Tech and Colt McCoy (Jim Ned) at Texas.

My understanding is they never had played against each other until last night, when Texas Tech played Texas. And next week, Potts and Keenum go against each other when Tech and Houston collide in Houston.

Going into this weekend’s games, the three quarterbacks had completed around 67 percent of their passes for almost three-fourths of a mile and 13 touchdowns, and running for two more."
