All of these scores surprised me.

The Lovelady-Groveton match is a huge rivalry. Groveton had just dismantled Grapeland in the last scrimmage. The Lions were a good little team last year with a good QB...they must have grown up a little over last few months.

The folks around Alto were a little down about the team due to the unexpected loss of 4 two way starters during the summer. Last year SA handed it to them in the first game. The Yellow Jackets must have found a few decent replacements.

I thought Chilton would be a little better and Mart might be a little down. I hope the rumbles that came across the internet after last year’s finals game hasn’t created a problem.

I had picked Crane no. 11 in AA; however, this score was not expected. Crane won by 10 last year. Who is better than or who is worse than expected? Crane plays Muleshoe in week three and that will be a good indicator.
