While attending college on a football scholarship, Andre contracted Bacterial Meningitis. He has been in the Intensive Care Unit ever since March 23, 2008. The many blood clots that have formed in his limbs make amputations a REAL possibility. A specialized clininc in Florida has miraculously been able to save limbs in similar cases.
