Army Strong Teams of the First Week of the Playoffs

All this week's winners of the Army Strong Team of the Week award demonstrated last weekend the qualities exhibited within the Army – those include leadership, commitment to excellence and a desire to make a difference as a member of a team.

Class 5A: Rowlett, which held off a late Allen rally to pull off the 37-32 upset

Class 4A: Ennis, which upset No. 1 Waco, 34-31, in four overtimes

Class 3A: Palestine Westwood, which won a thriller over Diboll, 65-59

Class 2A: Hamilton, which upset No. 1 team and defending state champion Mart, 43-21

Class 1A: Harper, which beat Thorndale, 7-6, for the first playoff win in school history

Six-man: Follett, which beat fellow Top 10 McLean, 29-16

Private Schools: Fort Worth Nolan, which upset Beaumont Kelly, 28-24

Congratulations to all these teams, and to Hamilton! They play Corrigan-Camden this week, which is picked by 8 over Hamilton by Harris Ratings....they are good, no doubt!
