2. West Orange Stark 6/5 12-1 Lost to Gilmer 35-23 Unbelievable speed. If the pass defense improves they will be 16-0..
3. Celina 4/7 12-4 Lost to Carthage 49-37 A very good nucleus returns.
4. Giddings 6/6 11-4 Lost to Carthage 41-14 Talent is back on both sides of the ball. The option QB is back.
5. Bellville 5/7 12-2 Lost to Giddings 21-20 in OT Has great speed coming back on both sides and will need to develop an OL.
6. Abilene Wylie 3/4 11-3 Lost to Prosper 39-38 The veterans are top quality. The Coach is worth including into the rankings.
7. Carthage 6/5 14-2 Champs Lost seven players that signed to play college ball.
8. China Springs 5/3 12-1 Lost to Abilene Wylie 24-21 Quality is returning with good speed. I gave the coaching staff some points.
9. Navasota 6/8 10-1 Lost to La Vega 34-28 in OT A numerous and good core of veteran that will be improved by a 10-0 JV.
10. Prosper 4/6 14-1 Champs Returns are big on D. Needs to find OL.
11. Liberty Hill 1/3 14-1 Lost 40-12 to Celina It is hard not to rank them higher.
12. Monahans 5/7 10-3 Lost to Bridgeport 31-28 Quality returns and the green team has good overall size and speed.
13. Rockdale 6/9 9-3 Lost to Carthage 55-28 Could be a sleeper
14. Mexia 6/4 8-4 Lost to Gilmer 50-36 Lots of size and speed
15. Cuero 4/1 11-2 Lost to La Vega 41-21 The Birds have a very good QB and RB back.
16. Cleveland 8/7 10-1 Lost to Rockdale 17-8 Seldom without talent but, it is hard or the Indians to stay the course.
17. La Vega 2/4 12-3 Lost to Prosper 17-10 A few returning on D, but the O will be up from a 9-1 JV.
18. Yoakum 8/7 8-4 Lost to Giddings 41-27 The Bulldogs started the year slowly and made a nice run into the playoffs. They return good size and speed and big athletic QB and big fast RB.
19. Pleasant Grove 7/5 9-3 Lost to Celina 52-21 Solid
20. Bridgeport 3/5 12-1 Lost to Liberty Hill 48-27 D returns some outstanding player; however, they must find a QB &OL.
21. Tatum 9/8 5-6 Lost to Carthage 62-21 The Eagles return most of their team and are still relatively young. The RB is strong and fast (state champ in the 300M hurdles), but like many of his team mates he is a Jr. They are not in level of Gilmer or Carthage….but might be next year.
22. Van 7/7 11-2 Lost to Prosper 21-7 Could be higher
23. Argyle 6/6 8-4 Lost to Kaufman 21-16 The four losses were against teams that played in week 13. The best players are returning (good speed).
24. Bandera 8/5 7-4 Lost to La Feria 31-14 May be ranked too high
25. Graham 9/7 3-7 Grahams D was defined as Dead giving up much more than 30 points per game. Little McCoy better score some points.
